Tried the Mystic booth spray tan? This is not a booth spray tan - no drips, no odor, no streaks! The micro-fine mist is evenly applied over the body by a Airbrush Tanning technician. Want to be darker longer? Double Up with a second tan within 24 hours. Want to prepare perfectly? Have a Salt or Sugar Scrub right before. Want to be a bit thinner AND tan? Have a Swedish Miracle Body Wrap just before. How Does Airbrush Tanning work? The FDA approved active ingredient, dihydroxyacetone (DHA), a derivative of the sugar molecule, reacts with the amino acids (proteins) in the outermost layer of your skin to produce a golden brown color. It takes four to eight hours for the reaction to complete and your tan to appear. How Long Does The Tan Last? Your bronze color will last between five and ten days, and it really depends on how you care for your skin. If you moisturize and take care of your skin, your tan will last longer. If you exfoliate regularly, take long hot baths or showers, wear clothes that chafe, or do anything to encourage the skin to "shed," your tan will fade more quickly. Use of our moisturizer and self tanner aftercare product will extend the life of your tan. How Do I Prepare For My Airbrush Tanning Session? For the best results, shower and exfoliate the skin beforehand. Make sure your skin is free of all lotions, oils, gels or any other products (including heavy foundation if you want your face tanned) that may create a barrier. You MUST wear loose dark clothing and sandals for at least 2 hours after your tan, or it will develop very unevenly. Wait for 6 hours before bathing, sweating or rubbing your skin to allow the solution ample time to react with the amino acids in the skin. What Do I Wear For My Airbrush Tanning Session? If you are a woman, you may wear your own lingerie, our disposable thongs or opt for no tan lines at all; we are professionals. If you are a man, please understand that we are professional women and therefore require that men wear at least our disposable briefs. How Long Does The Airbrushing Process Take? It takes only 10 to 15 minutes to airbrush your entire body. You'll dry off using warm air for an additional 8 minutes. The entire process door to door takes about 30 minutes. How Safe Is Airbrush Tanning? The active ingredient, DHA (dihydroxyacetone), is derived from raw sugar cane and has been FDA approved for cosmetic use. DHA has been used safely over the years in numerous sunless tanning products, such as creams and lotions. The premium quality product we use is manufactured with the most advanced method available in a cold-blend process and an aqueous, non-alcoholic solution. Our solution allows for better adhesion and longer-lasting results than similarly advertised products which charge more and is without the odd coloring effects of earlier generation products. Double Up with a second tan within 24 hours of your first one for deeper, darker, longer lasting color! Don't wait longer than 24 hours, or we'll be tanning a different layer of skin and your fade will be very uneven. And yes, you must get your initial tan with us. It is our goal to provide our clients with a quality airbrush tan. If you should have a problem with your tan, you must contact us immediately within a 36 hr period so that one of our technicians may evaluate your tan to determine any touch-ups. |
